If you have “for the love of children” read about the 1,5 pre tantrum age there is my advice. However I would even if for only 5 minutes keep the solitary play in his crib with you outside the room. Yes it is common that they get clingy when they are in big development stages but even in rocky times we need the routines to stick. See them as questions even during the day. Can I play alone? Is it dangerous for me to be 5 min without my mom? Can I really do this? Give him confidence to do it, let him grow. But keep the world small now for a while. Like not too many visits going to big crowds and so on. It is only for a short while and soon he will be that confident 2 year old who can do everything.
