Moved house and 111 month not settling
Moved house and 111 month not settling
Hi, we moved house a week ago and despite setting up our 11 month olds room exactly the same as he last room he still wakes 2/3 times in the night and wont go back to sleep unless he is either in our bed or one of us sleeps in our room. Even then he is still likely to wake up again in the night, crying progressively worse. im at a loss as tho why he is doing this as obviously we have done all we can to make his room the same, yet he settles in our room even though it is different. what is causing him to wake and why wont he go back to sleep

Re: Moved house and 111 month not settling
Hi georgio85 and welcome!
Have you done the GNS cure on your child? If not perhaps now is a good time to read up on it in the book and do the cure properly.
Just a few reflections…
You move to a new house and your child asks you: “Is it safe here?” You say no in your actions and take him to your bed. With that inviting the wolfs and saying it is not safe in your room.
Do you really think it is strange why he won’t sleep in his bed with that?
He says: “Can I sleep in my own bed?” you say, No you need to sleep with us to have a good nights sleep.
So children do what we teach them, so with your actions you are now teaching him something else, it only takes 3 nights to change a pattern. Now you have a new pattern.
Please reflect over this, read the book and come back so we can find out a strategy for you.
Many thanks!
